About the Ranch

Okatunde Ranch is a 6000ha farm in the Gobabis District of the Omaheke Region, approximately 80 kilometres north of Witvlei. The farm operates as a cattle and small stock production farm. It is frequently used by corporates for planning sessions and ‘get-aways’ and can comfortably accommodate up to 14 guests with its Eight double rooms which are all en-suite.

It’s a serene world. One, which offers 8 newly decorated and fully equipped rooms, a braai area, a swimming pool and the Pool Bar. The farm house runs on 100% solar energy. Guests are free to soak up the ambience and enjoy doing absolutely nothing; or they can explore our activities such as hiking, crocodile feeding, geese/duck feeding or game walks.

Wildlife found at Okatunde Ranch includes: Giraffe, crocodiles, Blue and Black Wildebeest, Oryx, Kudu, Red Hartebeest, Eland, Warthog, Waterbuck, Zebra, Blesbuck and Steenbuck.

FOOD
We endeavor to prepare wholesome, healthy meals for your culinary pleasure. If we can’t produce it ourselves on the our ranch we source our produce freshly from other farmers so as to ensure that we serve you with the fresh ingredients, ‘from the land to the plate.’

WINE
We keep a small, but exclusive collection of some of the continent’s best wines and spirits. Enjoy our meticulously selected wines & spirits while enjoying a magical sunset.

WELLNESS
Okatunde is a place where you can find or reconnect with your peace. Take a game-walk on our trails, while enjoying the fauna flora of our ranch. Relax your feet in a surprising foot-bath or simply refresh your face with a cold facecloth before you continue your walk back to the ranch. Or simply grab a magazine in our “bush library, take a nap, and lose yourself in the Namibian bushveld.

Take a bicycle ride with our ‘fat bikes’ at your own leisure or simply sit under one of the many camel-thorn trees on our ranch, pray, meditate or both.

ART
We keep a small selection of Namibian art, including paintings, sculptures, woodwork and photographs in our art studio, Ombili. Our art studio hosts artwork which are for sale and some are on permanent display but not for sale.

Etameko Artist village

We’ve converted the old farm workers’ compounds into an artist village. Serving as a creative retreat for up & coming Namibian artists and painters the village host these artist for a minimum period of 1 week. The best work is then displayed at our studio on the Ranch. We keep a small curioshop of Namibian arts & crafts especially those from the Ranch’s surrounding areas in the Omaheke region.
